Life in Pennsylvania

Well, I have spent two full days in Pennsylvania and it is so nice to have a break! It is nice to have no stress for a change. I had more Myofascial Release done on my neck right before I left and it is feeling much better. I am still a believer!!! As I have said, I am staying with a penpal/Internet friend (Lindsey). We met up at the airport and everthing is fine and dandy. However, the trip hasn't gone exactly according to plan. Her oldest brother Mike decided to get married to Gaby who is from Brazil THIS Saturday! Since it was a sudden decision we have been rushing around doing last minute wedding shopping. There are 11 of us snuggled in this cozy house!

I'm glad that everything went ok and I get on with Lindsey, her family, and her soon-to-be family! We went to a drive-in last night and it's the first one I have ever been to. If we had that near my town I'd probably go there all the time. It's $5 per person and you get to see two movies (or parts of several...just change the radio station and watch another screen!).

This state is a lot greener than California and more spread out. The wedding will be in Reading, which is on the other side of the state near Philadelphia. It's a mad rush getting everything ready, but it's been a unique experience!

Why? Why?? WHY???!!!
I just couldn't believe it was happening to me AGAIN!!  On Weds. afternoon I was in ANOTHER car accident!  I was in Stockton going down Pershing Ave. minding my own business.  I stopped at a stoplight and let's just say the guy behind me didn't.  Normally I can remain calm and deal with the situation at hand.  Well, after all I've been though, (an accident last month totaling my car and just buying a new one two weeks ago) I lost it.  Now I have to go through the whole process again.  How unlucky can I be?  Luckily, my car isn't in too bad of shape.  I mainly need a new bumper.  (Yay Saturn!)  However, the other guy's car is in pretty bad shape.

At least he has insurance this time and I had upgraded to full coverage.  We were both ok in the accident except my neck is aggrivated again, just after I was getting better and moving on with my life.

All I can say is you have to drive defensively (you gotta see 'em and you gotta dodge 'em).  It's just scary to think that sometimes there is nothing you can do to avoid it.

My Summer Trip
Okay, it's high time I post! To be honest, not too much has happened worth writing about. I continue to work each day and volunteer at the museum on Tues/Thurs. My self-guided tour packets are coming along! Besides that, my calendar is empty. It's a bit sad really...

Anyway, that will change temporarily when I go on my summer trip! This time I will venture to Pennsylvania (and Ohio) to finally meet an Internet friend from PA I've been corresponding with since 1997. We used to go to the same chat room and then we sent letters and talked on the phone. She is a lot like me it's almost scary!

So yeah, on Saturday I will be flying into Cleveland for a nice 11 day trip. It will be so nice to get out of Lodi for a while!! Then I can come home with lots of pictures to post on the updated website I'm working on.

I'm so glad to be past the horrible month of June and finally have my life back on track. (Accepting the fact that my bank account has taken a big blow)

Also, I agree with Joe! Where is everyone else? The blogs have been abandoned. I want to know what my fellow classmates are up to!

New Wheels

After searching through car lots and want ads I have finally purchased a new vehicle. It's a gold Saturn SL1. It's just the car I wanted too! Stockton Saturn had one for sale just turned it and I came at the right time.

I am so glad to have a car again. I don't have to deal with used car salesmen anymore. After taking persuasive messages at Uni I can spot the tricks they try to use. Probably the cheesiest line we heard was "Have you bought a car here before? You look familiar! Where do you work?." Give me a break!

So yeah, I'm happy to say I'm on the road again!
